Privacy

What is stored in your browser

Two settings, kept in your own browser and sent nowhere: your unit choice (US or metric, stored as "units") and whether the egg timer plays a sound at the end (stored as "timer-sound"). You can clear them by clearing site data in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator leaves your device unless you press "Share link", which copies a web address with your inputs to your clipboard for you to paste where you choose.

Analytics

From 10 October 2026 the site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, run by Cloudflare, the company that hosts the site. A small script reports which page was viewed, the page that linked to it, the type of browser and device, the country, and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so there is no cookie banner. We see only totals, such as visits per page; we cannot tell who you are. The site sets no cookies of its own.

Cloudflare describes what Web Analytics collects in its Web Analytics overview and its privacy policy.

Links to Etsy

Links to the cookbooks go to Etsy. Etsy's own privacy policy applies once you are there.

Videos

Video tutorials load only when you press play, through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed. Until then the page shows a still image and nothing is requested from YouTube.
